In the UK, Menzies Corporate Restructuring has sold Tecnograv Derby as a going concern to Fabcorp, a subsidiary of Nottingham litho printer Tressanda. The sum involved has not been revealed.
Jason Godefroy and Paul Clark, partners of MCR, were appointed joint administrators to Tecnograv Derby in January (see February issue). Unfortunately, the sale does not include the Tecnoplas business in Wigan which produced the plastics coated gravure cylinders. These operations have ceased trading.
Chris Wrigley, managing director of Fabcorp comments: "Recently we have been looking for a new opportunity, so Tecnograv came along at exactly the right time. Going forward, the business is now free of debt and excessive overheads. I am looking forward to trading it profitably into the future."
