New look in direct thermal printing

24 November 2010

Two new face materials from UPM Raflatac are said to offer new possibilities for direct thermal printing in a wide range of information and logistics labelling applications.

Thermal Top RB 200 is a top-coated thermal paper that provides a quality preprint with all conventional printing techniques. Printable with Epson TM-L90 printers, it also images in red and black at lower and higher temperatures. The 2-colour thermal print ‘enhances the shelf-appeal and gets important variable information noticed, from promotions at the point of sale to urgent or special messages’.

Available with both permanent and removable adhesives Thermal Top RB 200 covers a wide range of applications in retail and logistics.

Synthermal Clear is a semi-transparent film face said to complement products and packaging with a new look for direct thermal labels: the labelled package and its contents remain attractively visible through the label. UPM Raflatac says it delivers an excellent print result with both direct thermal and conventional printing. It's supplied with the RP 37 film adhesive to cover a wide range of food and retail applications.
