New line “is unique in Europe”

17 July 2012

French microflute packaging converter LGR-Reine Emballages has completed the installation of a third production line at its Veyziat factory. With a 2m format and automation of transfers between sections, the new line is said to be “unique in Europe in the field of litho printed laminated boxes”. It allows LGR to widen its large format offering regarding sheet layout optimization, such as possibilities for big boxes.

Begun in 2009 with the extension of existing buildings, the project has brought in new equipment laid out for optimal production flow. A KBA 205 offset press and a large format Bobst foldergluer were first installed in 2010, and the following year two new diecutters were acquired.

With this new Asitrade corrugating and laminating line, the global 2m manufacturing installation is now complete. The first tests on the machine were “very positive” and series production has now begun.
