New European packaging groups

Investment group Sun European Partners has formed new pan-European flexible packaging and rigid packaging specialist groups by combining existing affiliated portfolio companies.

The new Britton Group will comprise of the existing Britton Group, provider of extrusion, printing, lamination, and conversion services based in the UK; Reuther Verpackung, German and Polish-based printer, laminator and converter of bags for the pet food, confectionery, and coffee/tea industries; and the flexible packaging division of Veriplast Solutions.

The new Paccor pan-European rigid packaging group will be created from the merger of the existing Paccor, German-based European manufacturer of rigid plastics consumer goods, and the rigid packaging division of Veriplast.

Vice President of Sun European Partners Lionel de Posson states: “Customers will benefit from the size and scale of the combined businesses, the extensive product offering and the geographic reach. Furthermore, these businesses are owned by affiliates of Sun European Partners that have more than €1.75 billion of capital available for any future acquisitions, capital expenditure or other growth opportunities.”
