NCS and TPT combine as "UK's largest" graphic arts supplier

Newcastle Computer Systems (NCS) has acquired Turning Point Technologies (TPT) from TAG Worldwide. The companies have amalgamated to form what is claimed to be the UK's largest independent graphic arts supplier and system integrator with a combined turnover in region of £20M.

Called Turning Point, the new company will be headquartered at the NCS premises in Newcastle, while TPT's sales and demonstration facilities remain in London. Roger Stockdale, forme managing director of NCS, becomes md of the new company. Tony Newton becomes operations director, Steve Emerson, previously md of TPT, becomes sales and marketing director, and Richard Bates is now sales director.

"The industry now has a credible alternative to single brand manufacturers," says Steve Parish, ceo, TAG Worldwide. “This agreement has created an independent, proven and nationwide supplier that provides a wide choice of expert products, and integrates and customizes them.”
