NC-based inks for future-oriented flexo

29 March 2012

Flint Group’s next generation of nitrocellulose-based inks, have been developed to meet current and future demands of high quality flexo printing. The FlexiStar MV and FlexiPrint MV inks are said to offer excellent ink transfer (no build-up on plates) and enable long production runs without plate cleaning. Printers benefit from the new automatic wash system: and additional manual cleaning of aniloxes during job change is no longer necessary in order to avoid ghosting.

The new ink systems are claimed to offer superb printability with clean shades, full dots (reduced doughnut shape effect of print dots) and high colour strength. They are also suitable for very fine aniloxes (400 l/cm and more) for high quality flexo printing and free of migratable monomeric plasticizers.

Flint Group will demonstrate the new inks live on press on the Fischer & Krecke stand (A04-1, Hall 10) at the upcoming Drupa 2012 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
