The US based Multi-Color Corp is to acquire Australian pressure sensitive wine and spirits label manufacturer Collotype International Holdings. Collotype claims market leadership in Australia, the USA and South Africa, and a growing business in the fmcg market.
Multi-Color, with headquarters near Cincinnati, is a leading supplier of labels to the North American consumer products market, including in-mould labels, heat transfer labels, cut-and-stack and PS labels and shrink sleeves.
Upon completion of the transaction, Collotype managing director Nigel Vinecombe will become president of Multi-Color's International Business Unit. Don Kneir will continue as president of the North American Business Unit.
Financial terms will be disclosed upon the completion of the transaction, which is expected by the end of this year, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
