MSP has a Vision

12 May 2009

US company Mailing Services of Pittsburgh (MSP) has installed a Drent Goebel Vision press for direct mail and commercial printing. It has eight print units with 22, 23 and 28 in printing inserts and a flexo unit for UV varnish application.

Tom Drechsler, MSP’s operations manager, remarks: “Our Vision has a high level of automation designed into the press’s makeready features. In combination with our CIP3 interface, we have been able to reduce our makeready times by up to 60 per cent. The precise registration provided by the servodriven press platform allowed our press operators to increase their production levels and at the same time raise our overall print quality.”

Drent Goebel recently established a technical support centre in the US enabling it to offer local technical support, including storage and supply of spare parts.
