More made to order

30 March 2006

To cope with demand for surface tension test fluids and pens, The Schleising Consultancy has increased the size and production capacity of the mixing room at its Wrexham, UK, site. Sales of silicone rubber sleeving have also risen, making it necessary to create extra space and re-organize the packaging facilities.

Managing director Eddie Schleising says the increase in productivity has enabled all prices to be maintained at a competitive level, and adds: “Further volumes of orders could see prices being reduced”.

To overcome the fading of colour often associated with dyne inks, the company has introduced a distinctive red dye to the fluid components. This is said to ensure that high visibility is maintained throughout the full life of the fluids, both within the bottles and within the pens, without the need to keep the containers away from light sources.

The effulgence of the colouring makes for easy and immediate assessment of the surface energy imparted into substrates during corona discharge treatment.
