Mondi Coating & Release is investing more than €7M in its core technology and building another extrusion coating plant next to the existing facility in Štetí, Czech Republic. Apart from an extruder, the new 5,000 m2 hall will also house an additional packaging station and a rewinder.
The product range available from this plant will be broadened to include printed wrapping materials, with material coming off the extruder for the first time in early 2009.
Through a sales co-operation, Mondi now also sells products for Obaly Solo, an extrusion coating specialist in Ružomberok, Slovakia. The companies have agreed to co-operate and together provide ream wrapping for the paper industry and extrusion coated products for food and non food applications.
