More energy and UV curable inks

21 May 2008

Zeller+Gmelin has extended its range of inks for the labels and packaging markets.

These include new sheet-fed offset printing inks called the Uvalux U1 series; a UV letterpress and offset printing ink series called Uvalux U5, which are said to be suitable for printing on film; Uvalux U7 series, a UV offset printing ink for non absorbent substrates that need to be laminated; and the Uvaflex FW range of water based flexo inks.

At drupa, Zeller+Gmelin will also show its Esalux electro- beam curable offset inks for printing on flexible packaging substrates. Esalux inks are claimed to provide the lowest possible taint, odour and migration properties for food and other sensitive packaging.

The company will also present new developments in conventional and UV adhesives for coldfoil stamping.

Also shown on its drupa stand (Hall 3, stand 3B52) will be the Interact inks range, produced by its subsidiary Intercolor. This range includes inks for promotional and security printing, as well as coatings and inks that react to light or temperature.
