A manroland 905 LV offset press has been installed at Mondi Corrugated Packaging Grünburg, a €2.1 million investment for the Austrian site.
"This investment is part of our on-going goal of boosting efficiency and modernising our corrugated plants", comments Mondi Corrugated CEO Thomas Ott. “Product life cycles are getting ever shorter, and competition is increasingly driven by the need to clearly differentiate oneself from competitors. Through investing in this new machinery we can optimally meet our customers needs by a faster and more flexible printing system.
The new offset press will print 15,000 sheets/hour in five colours. Grünburg’s product portfolio now includes offset laminated packaging, displays, american cases, flexo and die-cut packaging, and refinement of solid board. Production at the site is oriented to the food, glass and beverage industries.
