Mondi Akrosil has successfully completed the previously announced deal to acquire the Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, coating plant from with Nitto Americas.
Now to be named Mondi Pleasant Prairie, the state-of-the-art facility adds nearly 450 million m² of capacity, strengthening Mondi´s offering for specialised release liner in North America and providing ample capacity for expansion. The group now has three release liner facilities in the USA.
“This investment benefits our customers as we significantly enhance our overall production portfolio and allows us to offer further print capabilities for hygiene and film”, states Thomas K. Schäbinger, CEO of Mondi Coatings.
