MENASHA PREPRINT, FOOD PACKAGING FACILITIES RECEIVE HIGH MARKS FROM AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF BAKING

Menasha's PrePrint facility, located in Neenah, Wisconsin, and Food Packaging facility, located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, have been recognized again by the American Institute of Baking (AIB) International.

Both facilities recently achieved Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) audit scores greater than 900 out of a possible 1,000 after being evaluated based on the AIB standards for Food Contact Packaging Manufacturing Facilities. This is the Food Packaging facility's eighth consecutive year achieving AIB recognition and the fourth consecutive year for Menasha's PrePrint facility.

"Menasha employs a continuous improvement model that ensures we identify and make quality and system improvements as needed," said Carlton Sealock, Menasha's Quality/Lean Manager for PrePrint. "This allows us not only to score well repeatedly during AIB audits, but also consistently deliver clean, safe products to our customers."

The AIB and its Good Manufacturing Processes criteria are based on current federal guidelines and industry best practices. Passing the assessment confirms that a facility has good manufacturing processes in place, and that it can provide clean, food-safe packaging products.

AIB auditors specifically evaluate the following areas: operational methods and personnel practices, maintenance for food safety, cleaning practices, integrated pest management, and adequacy of prerequisite and food safety programs.

Menasha's Food Packaging facility produces cake circles and pads for use with bakery items, among other food-related items. Menasha PrePrint creates innovative packaging and display solutions with high-quality graphics.
