A new range of UV flexo matt varnishes from Pulse Roll Label Products includes satin, matt and super-matt, foil block-able formulations that are claimed to reduce wash-up and press downtimes.
Andy Ransom of Boston, UK-based Reflex Labels, having tested the new range, comments: "The improvements made have provided a real gain to our production department. On long runs there is no longer the need or necessity to clean the unit due to separation or thickening of the varnish. This means less downtime and no waste so a real saving for our business."
"The new product takes the optimum anilox roll required from 8-12 volume down to 4-6," adds Gary Seward, Pulse managing director. "This represents not only a huge reduction in usage, but also a smoother finish with faster cure and better over printability on foils, high build and thermal ribbons."
