US folding carton converter Thoro Packaging has installed the new Apollo TSKM sheeter at its Corona, California, facility. Thoro’s TSKM is equipped with a D1 splicer, which can handle the most demanding heavier caliper board substrates such as 38pt Forte ‘precisely and cleanly’. The low-speed D1 is said to eliminate roll change time for a fraction of the cost of a high-speed splicer.
