Mark Andy hosted a three-day open house at its new European Advanced Technology Centre in Basel, Switzerland, and the first of its educator seminars.
Educator seminars were pioneered in the USA by Comco in the early 1990s and have since become popular with customers, a spokesman says.
Film and Foil Printing - Market of the Future attracted more than 200 visitors from 15 countries. The company also showcased its range of flexo converting equipment configured for film and foil printing.
Three presses from the Mark Andy and Comco ranges were on working demonstration: the servo driven Mark Andy XP5000; Mark Andy's best selling 2200, and the Comco ProGlide MSP. Mark Andy also featured its VSR300 fully integrated rewinder and finishing unit fitted with AVT Print Vision/Helios automated inspection system.
Topics covered every aspect of narrow and mid web film, foil and flexible print for packaging and delegates were given up to date information on the growing film and foil markets and the anticipated future trends.
