US narrow and mid web flexo press manufacturer Mark Andy has been acquired from the Dover Corp by Morgenthaler Partners and Mark Andy management. Morgenthaler is a financial business holding company based in Cleveland and Boston. Mark Andy had been owned by the Dover Corp since 1995. Its products include the Mark Andy, Comco and UV Technology brands. Fnancial terms of the deal have not been released.
The existing management team will remain, under ceo Paul Brauss, who says: “Mark Andy is excited about our new ownership. We’ve worked very hard in the areas of product development and customer support which has dramatically improved our sales and market position. Our strong position has attracted a solid financial supporter and partner. We look forward to continued growth supported by our new ownership.”
There are no plans for changes to the company name, brands, the workforce or factory locations. Already planned was a new, larger European showroom to replace the smaller facility in Basel. It will stage an open house in February, 2007.
