The Polestar Group has sold its packaging businesses to a management team led by Peter Watson, of Polestar Jowetts. The sale, for an undisclosed sum, includes carton printing companies Polestar Jowetts and Taylowe, and label printers Broadley and Hannibal. The new company will be known as Boxstar.
Polestar Group finance director Peter Johnston says: "We have very much valued the contribution our packaging companies have made over the years, but the offer by Peter and his team provided an opportunity for both the group and Boxstar to develop independently. We would like to thank all those that have worked for Polestar and we wish the new business every success."
Peter Watson adds: "This is an exciting opportunity for us all at Boxstar. I am looking forward to leading the company and, with the support of the workforce, am confident that we will grow successfully into the future."
