Making tapes easier

27 September 2002

Ghezzi & Annoni has developed a combination printing and coating machine for production of box sealing tapes. The OMW 600/2 is 24in wide and features a four colour flexo printing station in-line with an emulsion acrylic coater. A separate slitter for manual rolls, or in-line slitting for long rolls is also available.

The new line is said to enable converters to produce printed tapes at extremely competitive costs, with just one operator. Print quality of the finished product is claimed to out-perform any top surface printed tape – and the ink cannot be scratched, removed or stained.

According to G&A, the machine is easy to operate and maintain, with low energy consumption. A hot melt version is also available.
