According to M-real, feedback from customers shows that its Kemiart Ultra high performance coated white-top kraftliner can be post printed without drying equipment and no loss of efficiency in production. Depending on the press equipment, printing speeds from 6,000-15,000 sheets/hour are alleged to have been achieved with in-line die cutting.
“By using Kemiart Ultra our customers are realising significant cost savings on their energy bills”, says Koen Verplancke, technical sales manager, M-real Consumer Packaging. “Dryers on flexo presses are very beneficial in terms of efficiency and quality, but they consume a lot of energy, whereas Kemiart Ultra gives good net printing speeds without the use of dryers.
Like all our Kemiart coated kraftliners, Ultra also requires less energy from the corrugator’s heating system. Depending on the corrugator they use, customers can achieve 30-50 per cent savings in their energy costs – and of course lower energy usage also reduces CO2 emissions.”
