M-real Consumer Packaging has joined the Sustainable Packaging Coalition in a move the company says complements internal measures taken over the past decade to reduce wastage and weight in paperboard.
A spokesman says that as a member of the industry working group M-real will be able to network across the supply chain, develop new strategic partnerships and exchange information on new materials and technologies.
"The issues of sustainability affect us all and we believe it's vital for this industry to act as a whole to reinforce the efforts of individual companies. There's a real synergy here that will help us to transform the packaging industry," says M-real Consumer Packaging senior advisor Mike Clark.
