M-real has upgraded its Avanta Ultra and Avanta Prima high performance paperboards, to offer “superior printability combined with a more generous yield”. Avanta Ultra’s brightness has been increased from 89 to 90 per cent ISO. Both grades have been lightweighted by 2-4 per cent, but without loss of thickness and stiffness. Moisture content has also increased, enhancing the cutting and creasing properties of the boards, and the consistency has been improved due to tighter grammage tolerance.
