LLDPE range ‘sets new standards’

27 September 2010

According to Borealis, its new BorLite linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) range sets new standards in the performance of Machine Direction Orientation (MDO) films. Trouble-free, smooth operation in the MDO process is promised, allowing film performance properties to be tailored.

Based on the company’s proprietary Borstar LLD bimodal technology, BorLite was developed specifically to optimise the enhanced film properties and production efficiency benefits created by MDO processing technology. It is claimed to offer ‘step-change downgauging’, high impact strength and puncture resistance, and good tear resistance in machine direction, as well as lower operational costs and reductions in energy and CO2 emissions.

The new range includes three grades to suit the needs of different applications.
