The next EFTA two-day workshop on Lean Manufacturing for the flexo industry will be held on October 6-7. It will focus on improving productivity and efficiency through the introduction of Lean Techniques, and delegates will learn through tutorials and practical exercises about Quick Changeover Techniques, Waste Management, Total Productive Maintenance, 5 S and using OPE as a measure of effectiveness. The course is said to be "extremely intensive", but delegates "will go away having learnt through hands-on experience, how using these techniques will improve productivity in their factories". The course will be held at the Bass Museum and Brewery, Stoke upon Trent, UK.
