This month, Heidelberg begins series production of its Speedmaster XL 105 sheet-fed offset press. Unveiled at drupa 2004, this press is designed "boost productivity levels by 30 per cent" in industrialized printshops in the packaging and commercial sectors. It has five printing units and one coating unit, is designed for production speeds of 18,000 sheets/hour and covers a paper format of 75cm x 105cm.
From May, two XL 105 machines will be available for demonstration purposes in the Print Media Centre in Heidelberg.
