Large format diecutter from China

12 March 2014

Now available from Masterwork Graphic Equipment is the MK1450ER, said to be the first large format diecutter with stripping and blanking facilities of its kind to be made by a Chinese company.

The new machine can be used with an extensive range of cartonboard, from 90-2,000g/m² and will handle corrugated board up to 5mm thick. It can diecut up to 1,450 x 1,050mm with a claimed accuracy of ± 0.15mm and a maximum diecutting force of 600 tonnes. The non-stop feeder "precisely controls" stock taken from the pile, which can be as high as 1,600mm, and ensures that sheets are presented into the diecutting unit in exactly the right position.

"The MK1450ER has a top speed of 5,000 sheets/hour," states Masterwork Graphic's European sales manager Ken Farnsworth. "This is achieved with only one operator, who is able to control the machine via an easy to use colour touchscreen."
