German label and packaging materials manufacturer Schäfer-etiketten and Kugler-Womako, supplier of paper converting machines, are to co-operate to offer a broad range of labelling technologies and complete labelling systems solutions.
Schäfer-etiketten will cease manufacture and sales of its labelling machines, to expand its core business of manufacturing and printing self adhesive labels and packaging materials. Kugler-Womako will incorporate the company's Combina labelling machine series into its own product line-up, and manufacture, sell and develop it further in the existing company organization at its own cost. The companies will work together to provide full customer support, from labelling systems planning and application to supply of spare parts for the substantial number of Combina machines and systems already installed.
The proximity of the two German companies - only four kilometres apart - will aid their co-operation in the projects.
