Label press price promise

19 February 2009

Claiming “industry leading performance at a breakthrough price”, Primera new CX1200 digital colour label press is claimed to offer the quality, speed and flexibility of digital presses costing many times more. It is said to be equally suited to work ranging from short runs of just a few labels to “tens of thousands of labels at a time”.

Key features of the CX1200 include: a 305 mm unwind/rewind, for print up to 381 m by 216 mm wide per run; up to 2,400 dpi print resolution; print speed up to 8.23 m per minute – “the fastest in its class”; and extra high yield toner cartridges, rated for up to 15,000 pages.

Primera's PTPrint 2.0 RIP Software for Windows XP/Vista is included. It is used to import label designs, prepare them for printing, and apply colour management tools. Both Pantone and ICC colour profiles are included.

A wide variety of substrates can be printed on the new press, including matt, semi-gloss and glossy laser plain papers, white and clear polyesters, and PVC. Large (305mm maximum) diameter input and output rolls maximise efficiency.

Primera's exclusive IntelliTorque tensioning control system is claimed to deliver perfectly wound output rolls ready for off-line finishing.
