A new strategic alliance will see Jet Europe distribute Kodak’s Flexcel NX digital flexo platemaking systems, including hardware and consumables across the Continent.
Flexcel NX is said to combine superior imaging technology and materials science to produce outstanding results. The plates are designed to minimise waste and maximise efficiency in the press room while delivering results ‘that rival offset and rotogravure print quality’.
Jet Europe Managing Director Harry Heesen comments: “Our customers are continually striving to achieve consistently top quality results, while at the same time reduce waste and manufacturing costs. When preparing flexo plates, three factors have been proven to help achieve these goals – 1:1:1 image reproduction from file to mask to plate; flat top dot technology; and surface pattern innovations that enhance ink transfer from plate to substrate. The Flexcel NX technology excels in these three areas.
