Burcas has been appointed UK agent for Japanese firm Kimura's steel paper cutting knives. Available from stock held at the company's West Midlands location, these knives complement Burcas' existing range, which includes standard steel and tungsten carbide knives.
Kimura tungsten laminate knives are said to be of high quality and particularly effective for use with computerized, high production machines which demand improved knife performance and reduced downtime. They are manufactured so that the laminated steel is wider than the reset in the cutting machine, so many of the knives have two or three rows of holes.
According to Burcas, the knives offer low regrinding costs and, if reground correctly, will maintain their straightness throughout their usable life.
