A new 15-unit KBA straightline perfector press at Model PrimePac’s plant in Au, Switzerland, is said to be the first of its kind in the country. Specified to accommodate a broad range of coating options, the configuration comprises a coater, two dryers and eight printing units followed by a further coater, two dryers, a final coater and a double length extended delivery.
At 30m, it is the longest custom configured straightline Rapida 105 installation in Switzerland.
Model PrimePac is making the most of the press’s coating capability on both paper and board to tap into new markets and applications. Since the Rapida was put into operation a few weeks ago, it has enabled the company to add a number of new products to its portfolio.
