The new UHS-Turret slitter from Webcontrol and Karlville Development, in the USA, is said to be capable of speeds up to 450m/min while sustaining outstanding slitting precision due to its vacuum hug drum system.
The machine is suitable for most substrates and, with the addition of the twin turret rewind technology and its fully automatic unloading system, users can achieve ‘substantial productivity gains’ by increasing run time, especially on high volume orders.
The UHS-Turret uses a rotating rewind shaft system for maximum productivity, and is available in widths of 1,300mm or 1,600mm. Unwind diameter is 1,000mm, rewind 600mm, and minimum slit widths 40, 50, 80 and 100mm
