Kappa spends €3M

29 July 2004

Kappa is investing at its corrugated board production and conversion plant at Northampton, in the UK. A Martin DRO 1628 NT rotary die cutter has been installed at a cost of about €3M. It is said to have a four colour printing capability, 0.5mm die cut accuracy and 0.25mm print accuracy. It also features an extended feed with no crush, a dust-free inking system and a computer controlled palletizer.

"The investment allows Kappa Northampton to offer its customer base increased flexibility, capability and output and is a demonstration of Kappa's commitment to the site", comments managing director Steve Lister.
