Kama new SBU 76 mobile unit performs all stripping and blanking operations without the need for expensive tools or manual processes, allowing quick and flexible job changes to strengthen digital printing's advantages of short lead times and cost-efficient production of short and personalised runs.
"The first challenge is to keep the register precision throughout the entire finishing process. We solved this with our AutoRegister which aligns each sheet to a print mark with highest precision", explains Kama CEO Marcus Tralau. "Secondly, digital printing needs flexible finishing solutions to come out profitably with short and medium-sized runs. This is where the new SBU is scoring: as it does not need job-specific tools, job changes can be done quickly and flexibly."
The SBU is now available with AutoRegister on Kama's ProCut and DC diecutters, also for B2 format "matching perfectly" with digital printing presses, including the HP Indigo 10000/30000 models. Applications include hotfoil stamping, blind embossing, and diecutting/creasing "at highest register precision" - completed by stripping, blanking and shingled stream delivery on the new SBU device.
