Köch & Glasder installs first Masterfoil

7 June 2011

Last month, the first Masterfoil 106 PR high-end foil stamping press was installed at print finishing company Köch & Glasder in Neuss, Germany. Bobst had presented the new machine at its open house in Lausanne last autumn.

"In addition to the machine's high production speed of 8,000 sheets/hour, I was particularly impressed by the perfect interplay between the dynamic Power Register II system and the Smart Feeder system," recalls Thomas Glasder, Managing Partner of Köch & Glasder.

By combining these two new technologies, Bobst claims the Masterfoil 106 PR has brought precision and reliability ‘of a previously unknown level’ to foil stamping. It says the machine allows downtimes to be reduced by up to 75%, compared with previous foil stamping presses.
