Plastics show K 2007 is fully booked, and more than 2,900 companies will showcase their latest developments during the event on October 24-31. The exhibit area will be approximately 8,000m2 larger than in 2004, with a net space of more than 168,000m2. The expansion has been made possible with a new exhibition hall in the north of the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre.
Chairman of the K 2007 Exhibitor Council Ulrich Reifenhäuser comments: “2007 is still young, but the initial results look very promising. The upturn has penetrated all industry sectors without exception from production and distribution through to machine building and processing to recycling. After a strong second half of 2006, business is expected to continue developing positively in the coming months and growth should match the levels achieved in 2006.”
Around 57 per cent of the exhibition space has been booked by companies based outside Germany. These include: Italy (30,000m2), Switzerland (8,300m2), Austria (6,500m2), Taiwan (5,300m2), as well as France, the UK and the USA (each with over 4,000m2).
