In the US, former sales and product manager of Extrusion Dies Industries (EDI) John W Ryan has died at the age of 73. He joined EDI in 1990, as sales manager for the US northeast and eastern Canada. He also served as a product manager for the company and played a key role in development of innovative die systems and components. Upon his retirement in 2003, he continued working for EDI on a consultant basis.
"John was widely respected as a leading technical and marketing expert in the field of extrusion and was a key member of our team for many years," says EDI vice chairman Christopher W Curtin. "He had a colorful personality, was well liked by customers and colleagues, and will be sorely missed by his friends at EDI and around the world."
