UK-based paper and advanced materials group James Cropper is to receive a £3.15 million Regional Growth Fund grant to support a proposed innovative energy plant at its Burneside site. The support will underpin a £7 million investment in the development of a steam raising plant that will significantly reduce the manufacturer’s energy costs, CO2 emissions, and rising environmental taxes.
