GEW will introduce its new IsoCure UV curing system at the European Coatings Show in Nuremberg, Germany, from March 31-April 2, 2009. The company will also feature its laboratory testing unit and SeeCure UV monitoring system.
Designed for curing a wide range of coatings, pressure-sensitive adhesives, silicone release, printing inks, sealants and cationic chemistries, IsoCure can also be adapted for use in many industrial applications and is claimed to provide up to 20 per cent more UV output, while reducing energy consumption by as much as 30 per cent.
The system can be supplied on new equipment or as an upgrade. Available in arc lengths from 500 mm to over 2,000 mm, it can also be supplied with GEW’s inert atmosphere technology for higher operating speeds and for food packaging where there is a need to displace oxygen from the curing zone.
The curing system has been designed to be fully water-cooled, dispensing with the need for fans or ducting to cool the lamps, thereby resulting in energy savings.
