INX International to showcase metal decorating products and digital printing systems for designers, brand owners and metal decorators at Cannex.

INX International Ink Co. (booth 1013) will showcase a full display of metal decorating products, services and digital printing capabilities at Cannex, April 27-29, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. INX will feature its 2-piece and 3-piece ink systems, as well as the INXSpecT Brand Color Perfection System for Monobloc decorators and two new Digital Proofing systems.

Formulated for excellent fabrication and flexibility, INXCure PrintProT process colors provide terrific printability and improved misting for a fast cure response. Designed for use on crowns, screw caps, closures, 2-piece DRD cans, welded aerosols and decorative tin applications, these UV Curable inks are compatible with a variety of exterior coatings including cationic UV chemistries.

INXSpec is a unique color perfection program that duplicates perfect color to deliver consistent results every time. Working with INX MDO thermoset metal decorating inks, users save valuable time by arriving at the production stage faster. It formulates and replicates the exact color chemistry and adhesion for a specific metal substrate in only a few minutes, making it the most efficient system available. The result is brand color consistency with very accurate dispensing solutions (+/- 0.001 lbs. - 0.5 grams).

The MDO Base System for Extruded Metal Containers is formulated for Monobloc containers. It offers tremendous benefits such as short dwell times and improved transfer, ink flow and scratch resistance. Available in a full range of base and permanent colors, MDO also is compatible with exterior coatings.

Visitors can see first-hand the digital printing capabilities available from INX International Ink Co. in booth 1013. Two digital proofing systems will be demonstrated: how to achieve Color PerfectionT using Direct-to-Object proofing on the CP100 UV digital cylindrical printer, and Flexible Film proofing, using a Roland VersaCAMMT digital printer.

The CP100 printer is a key part of the EVOLVET Advanced Digital Solutions line of products producing color accurate proofs directly onto standard 2-piece cans. The machine uses an extended-gamut UV ink set specially formulated for can proofing applications. This allows designers and brand owners to quickly proof design concepts, eliminating costly interruptions to proof on pilot or production can lines.

At the heart of both proofing systems to be demonstrated is CMA Color Portal, a unique packaging software program that offers web-based hard copy and soft proofing using patented, four-dimensional iterative color management software.
