Into the USA

Mamata Machinery introduced it's Vega servo driven bag makers, wicketers and pouch makers in the USA at CMM 2003. The Vegaplus 800 universal bag maker displayed was sold to PPC Industries, in Wisconsin. Mamata now has incorporated a company in USA. With a 5,000ft2 facility near Chicago, it will serve as a showroom and demonstration centre. The facility will become operational from July.

Mamata held an open house during June 24-27. On show were the Vega 610 TSP servo driven three-side seal pouch maker with zip. A 24in wide machine capable of converting laminates and barrier films in four-up, two-up and one-up format. With maximum speeds of 150 strokes/min. The smallest pouch it can produce is 3 x 6in and the largest 36 x 24in. Also shown was the Vega 750 Plus high speed servo driven side seal bag maker, billed as "a perfect balance of productivity and price". At 250 strokes/min, it can convert PP/PE materials from 10-100 micron at high speeds with excellent stacking. It was demonstrated running 10 micron HDPE tubing in two-up at 235-240 strokes/min.
