Intel for HelioCom software

HelioCom has developed Version 8.5 of its high performance software for designing cylinder layouts for packaging gravure.

The key innovation is that HelioCom now supports Intel processors from the latest Mac Pro series using native program code. Performance has been increased by up to 100 per cent over conventional PowerPC processors in the G5 series, the company says.

More than 500 HelioCom workstations have been installed worldwide.
