Inks offer fast setting

6 October 2003

New, improved formulations of Flint-Schmidt's Arrowstar ink systems for converting and folding carton applications are said to offer sheet-fed printers greater latitude, flexibility and performance over a wider range of substrates and conditions. Improved rub resistance, ink transfer, gloss and minimum dot gain are claimed for the new inks, which are available as process sets and in essential cases as spot colours and special blacks.

The range includes two new all purpose ink systems: Arrowstar 8030 is a fast setting ink offering improved 'through' drying for faster turnaround times, with good press stability; Arrowstar Fast Setting 3030 is for jobs requiring extremely fast setting and drying properties. Both are said to offer high colour strength and are suitable for coated and uncoated papers and boards.
