Inks improve colour consistency and performance at Edale

5 February 2014

UK manufacturer of narrow web presses and converting machinery Edale is using Fujifilm's UVivid Flexo JD inks on the Flexo Line range of presses displayed in its showroom in Whitely.

UVivid Flexo JD is a UV curing flexo ink system which has been developed to give the highest performance across an extensive range of UV narrow web flexo machinery, complementary press products and substrates.

James Boughton, managing director at Edale, comments: "We were impressed by the high colour strength offered, which has already enabled us to reduce ink volumes without compromising image quality. The inks guarantee consistent colour reproduction across the different flexo presses in our showroom and allow us to achieve reliable and stable performance."

Fujifilm's UVivid Flexo JD inks are suitable for applications including self-adhesive labels, sachets and pouches, unsupported films, low shrink sleeves and in-mould labels. They are available as Pantone mixing, process or metallic colours.

Edale has also adopted Fujifilm's UVivid Flexo Supernova White, an ultra-opaque flexo printable ink that can replace rotary screen white ink, and allows fine text and opaque solids to be combined on the same plate.
