Ink improves print on non wovens

11 March 2004

Siegwerk says its new ZWPT 76 water based flexo ink series for paper and tissue printing is characterized by a low odour level, outstanding print properties, high colour strength and exceptionally good resistance to abrasion.

The new ink is also said to offer high resistance to water, fats and oils, as well as weak acidic or alkaline products. It therefore meets the criteria of DIN EN 646, which defines the specific requirements and testing methods for the use of tissue articles such as serviettes, handkerchiefs or kitchen paper.

The company adds that ZWPT 76 is not prone to setting, so there are fewer production stops for cleaning, saving costs and time.
