B&R Moll's new Vantage 720 folder gluer is a compact in-line finishing system offering fast production rates for printers and packagers who need to produce finished boxes, sleeves or cartons. Available in both 30 and 36 inch formats, it is said to be capable of producing straight-line cartons, auto-lock bottom boxes, and four-corner boxes at production rates of up to 30,000 pieces per hour.
"The Vantage 720 is significantly more compact than conventional folding and gluing equipment, making it ideal for smaller work spaces," says Darren Vernon, director of Moll International. "The machine's open format layout enables operators to quickly change over between jobs, and its dual-stream feeding capability means that two operations can be performed simultaneously to increase throughput.
The folder gluer can handle paper weights ranging from 140-500g/m² stocks in sizes from 50 x 102mm up to 762 x 508mm. Maximum linear speed is 130m/min.
