Improving corrugated

9 May 2008

German prepress service provider Flexicon has established a corrugated board unit which runs the whole gamut from artwork through colour separation to proofing. The company claims to use its own rastering systems and innovative colour management processes to considerably improve printing results on machines with few inking units. In addition, proofs are produced with “substrate simulation”.

Flexicon’s corrugated board experts are currently collaborating in the development of a new thin plate technology for direct printing. Initial tests with a new compressible substructure delivered outstanding printing results combined with a straightforward handling, the company reports.
