Windmöller & Hölscher recently introduced Vistaflex C, a direct drive, high speed flexo press said to offer “a new dimension in sleeve handling”. The press, which can be fitted with 8 or 10-colour decks, is designed for print repeats of up to 1,250 mm and print widths of up to 2,200 mm. Its top print speed is 800 m/min.
A special feature on the press is the Vista-Port automatic sleeve handling system with exchangeable sleeve mandrels. The press operator can determine the change-over sequence and fit the mandrels with the right printing and anilox roll sleeves. Vista-Port then automatically completes the job change-over, optimising the position of the new mandrels in the magazine to allow for set-up of all required colour decks.
The new Miraflex C sleeve flexo press premiered at Interpack has already been sold to two Eastern European customers. It can be supplied with 8 or 10-colour decks, with printing widths of 1,000 – 1,450 mm and a maximum print repeat length of 800 mm.
