High speed bag system

2 April 2009

Totani says its new HK-65V side-weld automatic bag making machine operates at up to 360 shots/min – “one of the industry’s highest speed intermittent bag machines with excellent stacking – and can deliver finished bags in up to 500 mm wide”.

A three-servodrive system controls the films feed drive, the heat sealer vertical drive, and the catching drive. An on-board AC servo catching unit provides “outstanding” bag stacking, and its on-board AC servomotor controls the vertical movement of heat sealers, allowing sealing times to be set freely.

A special loss prevention feature automatically raises the hot knife at machine stop and lowers it back down at machine start, to avoid any risk of the film being scorched by the thermal cutter.
